Very few applicants know that Australian immigration authority accepts not only IELTS but other International English proficiency tests as well, and PTE test is one of them. PTE stands for Pearson Test of English. IELTS is jointly administered by Cambridge, British Council and IDP. PTE is an American based English language test and it is equally acceptable to Australian immigration.

Point-based marking is used in this test which starts from 10-90. In IELTS, marking scheme is band-based which starts from 0 to 9 bands.

This test is not conducted in Pakistan. The test takers can book this test and pay online. The nearest PTE test centre for Pakistanis is Dubai.
